I have one Superwinch TS9500 and two TS11500SR. All have operated perfectly for years. There are cheaper and also more expensive winches out there but Superwinch Tiger Shark series is the best winch for the money.
The winch has performed faultlessly. I do not usually write reviews, but this weekend we came across two vehicles stuck in tidal mud. They were quite a way out from the area I considered safe to stop my vehicle. We have a 90' rope and a 50' extension rope. To this we added a number of straps, the total length exceeded 200'. We recovered both vehicles over a 1 hour period. The ambient temperature was 34C. The winch got so hot that I could not touch the free spool lever without gloves. But the winch just carried on pulling, I really couldn't be more impressed with it.
Overall I've been very pleased. I've used this winch to get myself and other ATV's unstuck many times without an issue. Be sure to spray the winch cable with WD40 or another lubricant as often as you can to extend the longevity of the winch and cable itself.
I have never owned another winch, so it's difficult for me to compare this to anything else. I will say of my experience though, that this winch is definitely living up to the great reviews and to my expectations. I have owned it for over a year now and have had about half a dozen rescues and a couple of self pull-outs and it performed flawlessly. Overall, I highly recommend this winch and will most probably purchase another Superwinch when the next opportunity arises.
This winch is more than I expected, it operates quite and smooth, the winch is very strong. Would definitely recommend it.
