S5500 12V Wire Rope Winch

The Superwinch S5500 easily pulls loads up to 5,500 lbs., powered by a stout 3.6 HP permanent-magnet motor and an all-steel 3-stage planetary gearbox. The S5500 includes a safety-tinted protective cover for operator safety, and to protect the cable and drum. The machined aluminum free-spool lever can also be easily operated by foot.

Best winch

I've used this winch for many years, and it always works great. I have it on my car-hauling trailer. The connector on the end of the remote broke, and they do not offer a replacement remote, so I replaced both male and female connectors with another three-pin connector. After several years of sitting in the sunlight, the plastic cover over the winch cable has broken and fallen apart.

arrived as stated, all components were included to operate. Unit does as advertised and does a good job with winching the show car into the trailer.

Best winch ever

Has pulled my car onto the trailer so easily I wish I had gotten it sooner. The only trouble was spooling up all the cable. Sometimes it seems like there is a little too much cable. But really I just have to make sure to help it spool evenly . Some oil on the cable helps too.
