Mount the bracket kit to a roof rack or cross-bar system rated for the awning’s projected load plus dynamic forces (wind/vehicle movement). Secure the awning, unroll canopy, deploy arms, stake and guy-line when conditions demand. Re-check all hardware after first drive, especially after off-road use.
Tip: Always dry the canopy before long-term storage. In high winds or storms always deploy with poles & guy lines (or stow the awning). Ensure your rack is rated for the awning + any gear you attach, and confirm clearance for doors and hatch when installed.
