2020–2027 CHEVY SILVERADO 2500HD/3500HD & GMC SIERRA 2500HD/3500HD 82.2" BED – WESTIN ELECTRIC POWERED RETRACTABLE TONNEAU COVER WITH REMOTE KEY FOB & INTEGRATED LED

Upgrade your heavy-duty GM pickup with the Westin Electric Powered Retractable Tonneau Cover — engineered for performance, protection, and effortless push-button operation. Purpose-fit for the 2020–2027 Silverado 2500HD, Silverado 3500HD, Sierra 2500HD, and Sierra 3500HD with the 82.2" (6'10"/6.8ft) standard bed, this premium powered cover delivers dependable all-weather defense against rain, dirt, sun, and wind while keeping your cargo secure, concealed, and accessible at the touch of a button. Whether you're hauling tools to the jobsite, protecting fifth-wheel/gooseneck gear, running a work truck, or building out an overland rig on an HD platform, this cover delivers premium cargo protection with factory-integrated styling.

Every detail is engineered for real-world HD use. Black powder-coated aluminum extrusion construction delivers lightweight strength, long-lasting durability, and corrosion resistance that stands up to sun, rain, snow, salt, and the harsh conditions HD trucks actually see. Dust-resistant seals keep moisture and debris out of your bed, while the low-profile OE-style design sits cleanly on top of the bed rails for a factory-installed appearance that complements the bold styling of the T1-generation Silverado HD and Sierra HD. A compact roll-up canister measuring just 7.5" deep x 11" high preserves maximum usable bed space while maintaining full coverage when closed.

Operation is effortless. Push-button powered retractable operation opens and closes the cover quickly from the included remote key fob — no struggling with manual retraction on a 6'10" bed, no fumbling with latches in the rain. Built-in anti-pinch safety sensors protect fingers and cargo during operation, while a manual override capability keeps you in control even in the rare case of an electrical issue. An integrated LED canister light illuminates the truck bed at the push of a button on the remote — perfect for pre-dawn loading, late-night gear access, or jobsite work. The 500 lb evenly-distributed weight capacity is one of the highest ratings in the retractable tonneau category, and integrated T-slot channels support racks, carriers, tie-downs, and accessory mounting for a truly customizable HD bed setup.

Fitment

FAQ

• How do I know if I have the 82.2" (6'10") bed? Measure your HD Silverado or Sierra bed from the inside of the bulkhead (front wall) to the inside of the closed tailgate. An 82.2" bed measures approximately 6 feet 10 inches — this is the standard bed on Crew Cab and Double Cab 2500HD/3500HD configurations. The alternative is the 98.3" (8'2") long bed, which this cover does NOT fit.
• Does this fit my 2019 or older Silverado/Sierra HD? No. This cover fits the all-new 2020+ T1-based HD platform. If you have a 2007–2019 Silverado HD or Sierra HD, you have the previous-generation K2XX HD body and need a cover made specifically for that platform.
• Does this fit my Silverado/Sierra 1500 half-ton? No. This listing is specific to the HD platform (2500HD/3500HD). Half-ton Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 trucks require different covers. We offer separate SKUs for the 1500 platform.
• Will this fit my dually (3500HD DRW)? The cover fits the bed, not the rear axle. 3500HD Dually (DRW) configurations with the 82.2" bed are compatible — the dually rear fenders don't affect bed-rail-mounted tonneau fitment.
• Is this compatible with my 5th wheel or gooseneck hitch? Most 5th wheel and gooseneck installations are compatible, but verify clearance with your specific hitch before ordering. Powered retractable covers like this one can typically be retracted forward when the trailer is hitched for full access. Factory GM gooseneck prep packages (ball in bed) are generally compatible.
• How does the powered operation work? The cover opens and closes at the push of a button on the included remote key fob. Press to open, press to close — no manual effort required. The system is powered by your truck's electrical system via a direct connection during installation.
• What's the LED light for? An integrated LED strip inside the roll-up canister illuminates the truck bed when you push the LED button on the remote key fob. Perfect for pre-dawn loading, late-night gear access, and jobsite work when you need visibility.
• How does the anti-pinch safety work? Built-in sensors detect resistance when the cover is closing — if something is in the way (fingers, cargo, debris), the cover automatically stops to prevent damage. A critical safety feature that separates premium powered tonneaus from basic ones.
• What if the electric system fails? The cover includes a manual override capability — in the rare case of an electrical issue or dead battery, you can operate the cover manually to open or close it. You're never stuck with an inoperable cover.
• How much weight can the cover support? The cover supports up to 500 lbs when evenly distributed — one of the highest weight ratings in the retractable tonneau category. This supports distributed cargo loads, snow accumulation, and lightweight racks mounted via the T-slot channels. For point loads (standing, concentrated weight), lower limits apply.
• Can I mount accessories to the cover? Yes. Integrated T-slot channels along the bed rails support multiple accessory mounts — racks, carriers, tie-downs, cargo management hardware, and more. Fully customizable to your gear loadout.
• How does the cover affect bed space? When the cover is closed, you have full bed usability with cargo protection. When retracted, the canister sits at the front of the bed measuring 7.5" deep x 11" high — a compact footprint that preserves most of your usable 82.2" bed space.
• Does the cover have drainage? Yes. Westin's design includes drainage provisions to channel water away from the bed and canister. Specific installation requirements vary by truck — refer to the included instructions for drain tube routing.
• Is the cover secure against theft? The powered retraction system and locked-closed position provide a strong deterrent against theft. Combined with your factory tailgate lock, the cover turns your bed into a lockable cargo vault.
• Does this fit trucks with MultiPro or MultiFlex tailgate? Yes. The MultiPro (GMC) and MultiFlex (Chevy) tailgates do not affect fitment of the cover — the cover mounts to the bed rails independently of the tailgate.
• How long does installation take? Installation typically takes 2–4 hours for most owners due to the electrical wiring required for the powered system. Professional installation is strongly recommended if you're not comfortable with vehicle electrical work.
• Does the cover ship free? Yes. Westin offers free shipping on orders $99 and above — this product qualifies.
• What warranty is included? The cover is backed by Westin's Limited Lifetime Warranty.
