• Requires OPENROAD Aluminum Side Series Truck Cap. This storage box is a companion product designed to mount to the side window of an existing OPENROAD cap — it is not a standalone product and will not mount to other manufacturers' truck caps.

• Will this fit any truck cap? No. The OPENROAD Truck Cap Storage Box is specifically designed to mount to the OPENROAD Aluminum Side Series truck cap. It replaces an open window panel with an enclosed storage box, so it requires an OPENROAD cap to install. It's not compatible with other manufacturers' caps or the OPENROAD Sliding Glass Side Series.
• Do I need drilling to install? Yes. Installation requires drilling holes in your OPENROAD cap to mount the storage box. Based on installation guides, expect to drill approximately 9 holes total (3 bottom mounting holes plus 6 additional holes on the sides and top). We strongly recommend measuring carefully and using the assembled box as a template rather than the individual pieces.
• What's the recommended installation process? Based on customer feedback, we recommend: (1) fully assemble the storage box first, (2) hold it up to the cap window opening and measure the 3 bottom mounting holes, (3) drill those 3 holes and mount the box, (4) use a paint pen to mark the remaining mounting holes on the sides and top, (5) remove the box and drill the remaining holes, (6) reinstall with all mounting hardware. Use Loctite on all fasteners since they can loosen over time. Do not use unassembled box pieces as templates — the box may be a few millimeters off when fully assembled.
