• Does this fit both Silverado 1500 AND Sierra 1500? Yes. Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 share the same chassis, suspension, and frame — just different exterior badging, grilles, and trim-level packages. The LOGIQ 88-31070 kit works on both.
• Does this fit my 2019 or newer Silverado/Sierra 1500? No. GM redesigned the Silverado/Sierra 1500 for 2019 with the T1 platform. The rear suspension architecture differs from the 2007-2018 GMT900/K2XX platforms. If you have a 2019+ GM 1500, you'll need a different LOGIQ SKU — check LOGIQ's GM catalog.
• Does this fit my 2006 or older Silverado/Sierra 1500? No. The GMT800 platform (1999-2006) uses different rear suspension geometry. This kit is specific to the GMT900 (2007-2013) and K2XX (2014-2018) platforms.
• What's the difference between GMT900 and K2XX? GMT900 is GM's 2007-2013 half-ton platform (the "second-redesign" post-GMT800). K2XX is GM's 2014-2018 half-ton platform (the "third-redesign" with revised exterior styling and interior). The rear suspension architecture is close enough that LOGIQ engineered a single kit that works on both platforms.
• Does this fit my Silverado 2500HD or 3500HD? No. The HD platforms (2500HD, 3500HD) use different rear suspension architecture. This kit is for GM half-ton (1500) trucks only. Check LOGIQ's GM HD catalog if available.
• Does this fit my Silverado EV or Sierra EV? No. Electric trucks use different suspension architecture (independent rear suspension in some cases).
• What's included in the exhaust heat wrap kit? The included exhaust heat wrap kit protects the air springs from heat radiating off the exhaust system. GM 1500 exhaust routing passes close enough to the air springs on some configurations that heat protection is warranted. The kit includes the heat wrap material and mounting hardware.
• Will this work with my 5th wheel hitch? LOGIQ has CONFIRMED compatibility with 10 OEM and aftermarket 5th wheel hitches on the GM 1500: B&W BWGNRK1057, BWGNRK1007, BWRVK2503; Curt 60632, 16400; Reese RP56007, RP50064; Demco DM8552013, DM8552027; and Draw-Tite 4454. If your hitch isn't on this list, contact us before ordering.
• Why is the GM 1500 kit axle-mounted but the F-150 kit is leaf-mounted? Different trucks, different rear suspension architectures. The F-150 kit mounts over the factory leaf springs outboard of the frame rails. The GM 1500 kit mounts over the rear axle inboard of the frame rails. Both approaches are engineered for the specific chassis — LOGIQ builds truck-specific kits rather than one-size-fits-all helper bags.
• Does the GM 1500 kit have the same 5th wheel compatibility limitation as the F-150 kit? No. The F-150 kit has significant 5th wheel compatibility limitations (NOT compatible with most 5th wheel hitches). The GM 1500 kit has CONFIRMED compatibility with 10 different 5th wheel hitches. GM 1500 is a better choice for half-ton 5th wheel RV owners from a kit-compatibility standpoint.
• Do I need an Air Management Package to use this kit? No. The default option is the Manual Inflation Kit (included at no additional cost) — just a length of airline with Schrader valves. Upgrade to an AirIQ AMP when you want smart on-board air with trailer presets.
• What's the difference between the AirIQ HD2, SD2, and SD1 Air Management options? All three provide smart app/remote control. The HD2 has a 2-channel smart manifold (independent driver/passenger control) and the Heavy-Duty compressor (2.5x faster than competitors). The SD2 has the same 2-channel manifold but with the Standard-Duty compressor (2x faster than competitors). The SD1 has a 1-channel manifold (paired rear control) with the Standard-Duty compressor.
• What's the load capacity at lower PSI? Load capacity scales linearly with PSI. At 150 PSI maximum, the kit supports 3,200 lbs. At 100 PSI, expect approximately 2,100 lbs. At 60 PSI (common cruising/towing pressure), expect approximately 1,300 lbs. Always observe the 5 PSI minimum and 150 PSI maximum pressure limits, and never exceed your truck's GVWR or maximum payload.
• How long does installation take? Expect 2–3 hours for the air springs on a GM 1500 (axle-mounted install is slightly more involved than F-150's leaf-mounted). Add 2–3 hours for an AirIQ Air Management Package installation. Professional installation recommended.
• What's the warranty? LOGIQ Air Spring Kits come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty on the air springs themselves, PLUS a FREE 5-year / 60,000-mile ReadyGUARD Powertrain Warranty.
• What's included in the kit? (1) Driver Side Air Spring Assembly, (1) Passenger Side Air Spring Assembly, (1) Hardware Kit, (1) Manual Inflation Kit (airline + Schrader valves + zip ties), and (1) Exhaust Heat Wrap Kit.
• Does this fit Z71 off-road trim? Yes. The Z71 off-road package affects shocks, skid plates, and trim, but doesn't change the rear suspension architecture that this kit mounts to.
• Does this fit my Denali or High Country? Yes. Denali (GMC's premium trim) and High Country (Chevrolet's premium trim) use the same chassis and rear suspension as other 1500 trims. The kit fits regardless of trim level.
• What about the diesel 3.0L Duramax option? The 3.0L Duramax diesel wasn't offered in the 2007-2018 Silverado/Sierra 1500 platforms — it debuted in the 2020 model year on the T1 platform. If you have a 3.0L Duramax, your truck is a 2020+ T1 platform and needs a different LOGIQ kit.
