FAQ

• How many people can sleep in the Skycamp 4.0 Quad? The Quad comfortably sleeps 3-4 people, with a full 84 ⅝" x 83 ⅛" sleeping area — the largest in the Skycamp 4.0 lineup and roughly equivalent to a king-size bed footprint.
• How fast is setup? Setup takes approximately 60 seconds. Unlatch the two locking latches on the shell, push it open, and the gas struts fully deploy the tent. Teardown is equally fast.
• What's the difference between the Skycamp 4.0 and the previous 3.0? The 4.0 introduces significant upgrades: cork-topped ThermaSeal™ flooring, an upgraded DuraCore™ double-layered shell, refined BreathWeave™ blackout canvas, larger doors and windows, an added 75 in² of usable interior space (without changing the footprint), integrated interior lighting, and duct/electrical passthroughs.
• What size vehicle do I need? The Quad is ideal for mid-size SUVs, full-size SUVs, full-size trucks, and vans. Your vehicle needs a rack with a dynamic weight rating of at least 185 lbs (84 kg), and crossbars spaced 30"–60" apart.
• What racks or crossbars are compatible? The Skycamp 4.0 uses universal Mounting Brackets 3.0 that fit virtually any aftermarket crossbar system (Thule, Yakima, Rhino-Rack, and similar), plus most roof racks and bed racks. Crossbars must be at least 30" apart, with max height 1.2" and max width 3.5".
• Is it truly a 4-season tent? Yes. The DuraCore™ insulated shell, BreathWeave™ canvas, and ThermaSeal™ cork flooring work together to provide protection from rain, wind, UV, and cold. The tent has been field-tested in extreme conditions and is rated for year-round use.
• Can I leave the tent mounted year-round? Yes. The Skycamp is designed for year-round mounting. To extend its life, avoid extended heavy snow load on the shell and minimize prolonged exposure to extreme UV. The shell cleans easily with mild soap and a scrub brush.
• Can I store bedding inside the tent? Yes. Each Skycamp is designed with extra space to store bedding, though it depends on the size and materials. Pack sleeping bags and pillows into the back left corner as you close the tent. Air mattresses that fully deflate work great for this.
• Does the tent lock? Yes. The Skycamp series has two locking latches on the shell. For added security, iKamper offers Bracket Locks for the mounting hardware.
• What's the ladder like? The included HC Ladder is an adjustable telescoping aluminum design (88 ½" fully extended) that stows inside the tent when packed — no separate ladder storage needed.
• Is a mattress included? The RTT Foam Mattress is included with your purchase at no additional cost. Optional upgrade to the RTT Comfort LT Mattress (3" adjustable air + foam construction) is available at checkout for those who want more customizable sleep comfort.
• Can I mount things on top of the Skycamp shell? No. iKamper does not recommend mounting anything to the top of the hardshell — doing so voids the warranty and can compromise the shell's structural integrity.
• Are Skycamp 3.0 accessories compatible? The 4.0's larger opening means most 3.0 accessories that attach at the entrance (Annex, Awning, Insulation Tent) are not compatible until 4.0-specific versions are released. However, HC Steps, Bracket Locks, Storage Rack, Mounting Rail End Caps, and Shoe Rack remain compatible across generations.
• Where is the Skycamp 4.0 manufactured? Each Skycamp 4.0 is hand-crafted at iKamper's factory in South Korea. Every tent is hand-produced by a dedicated iKamper employee and passes strict quality testing before shipping.

Warranty

2-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

For 2 years from the date of purchase, iKamper will replace (at their discretion) defective parts at no cost to the original purchaser. iKamper provides replacement parts, but the customer is responsible for installation.

Warranty applies only to purchases made through iKamper.com or authorized dealers (including Recon Recovery). Second-hand purchases are not covered. Contact Recon Recovery to initiate a warranty claim with proof of purchase.

Not covered under warranty:

• UV damage to fabric or gel coat
• Normal wear and tear or cosmetic blemishes from use (window discoloration, shell scratches/dents, etc.)
• Damage caused by misuse, accident, or abuse
• Damage from acts of nature (storm, wind, etc.)
• Aesthetic changes that don't affect operation
• Products modified or repaired by the customer
