Installation

Assemble side frames and crossbars loosely, position on bed rails, then tighten pinch-plates to clamp the rack to the inner rail lips. Square the rack, set final width, and torque all hardware to spec. Re-check hardware after your first trip and after off-road use.

Safety & Usage

Confirm your truck’s bed rail and rack system can support total load (rack + tent + occupants + gear). Use proper ladder angles with RTTs, and secure all cargo before driving.

Great fit

I bought this for my 1996 Tacoma extra cab. It fits great and I was able to use the pinch plates to attach it. My SmittyBilt XL tent fits great on it. The tent fits behind the cab and out of the wind. This is great for reducing wind resistance but doing anything under the tent requires walking hunched over. I‚ decided after a summer of camping to have the rack reworked to be higher so I can mount a 270 degree awning on it too. This is a great rack, I highly recommend it. It's heavy duty and well built. It also has mounting holes for other things. I used them for side and back work lights.
