works great

I've used this winch more than a few times. Never had any issues with it. The only gripe I have is that the plastic covering the logo melted off in the sun, and the logo faded pretty bad over a couple years. The plastic covering the terminals also faded pretty bad. It's looking a little rough, but it still works great. Would recommend a winch cover if you can find one that fits. Four stars because it's way too expensive compared to other 10k winches.

Perfect winch

The best on the market. It will save you when you get stuck. Only issue is the synthetic rope is very difficult to thread through the opening in the drum to set the puck. I cannot stress enough how difficult.

Excellent quality.

Excellent quality. A well engineered piece. This winch with the Synthetic Rope is about 25 lbs. lighter than one with a steel cable. Did not know that "Warn" recommended changing the rope every year until I read the install instructions & service recommendations. I would imagine this is to "cover their butt" in case of deterioration under extreme weather & operating conditions on a daily basis. I am very happy with the ease of use. Especially with the (optional) wireless remote control. The rope is more difficult to install on the spool than a cable is, but once installed you don't need to worry about kinking the cable.

Nice winch

The winch itself works well. If there is a metal cable available for this winch, we have not been able to find it. It appears that only the cable type that comes with it is the one that is available. That one broke within a few months of moderate use. We replaced it with a similar cable from Harbor Freight, and that one has held up better. The winch only would be 5 stars, but the cable diminishes the rating.

Good product

Remote and plug into winch is great. The wireless and small form factor is great too. Only negative was the screws for the mounting are too short to mount around the bar I wanted to use

Works Right out of the Box!

Warn winch owners will really enjoy this upgrade to the original wired plug-in control unit that came with your Warn Winch. The factory control unit cable length of 10 feet limits the safety margin areas near the Triangle of Death. This wireless remote controller is a Vast Improvement with this products ability to work away from the winch cables and provides more safety margin for the operator.

Ordered this for my work truck winch. Works amazing. It says 50ft but I was all of 200ft away and still worked. Keep extra batteries and a small Phillips screwdriver to change batteries amd you'll be good to go.
