Super winch

This winch is for my utility/four wheeler trailer to aid in loading objects. Had a couple of incidents where heavy riding mowers and cutters wouldn't start/run to load up. Powered by my truck this beats a come-along hands down. A little creativity and a couple of snatch blocks and unloading is easy too. I replaced the wire cable with synthetic cable as a preference to avoid "broken whip" and wire spurs. Will see how it holds up. If it works like the "SUPERWINCH" on my UTV (3 years and going strong) I'll be pleased.

Great winch

This winch is exactly what I needed to pull my teardrop trailer under my carport that has an incline. It seems to be of a quality build. Very easy installation into the base of my detached garage foundation. The on/off controls are easy to use. I pull my car into the garage and hook-up to my car battery with jumper cables to operate. We are two women who love our Teardrop trailer and this has made storing it under our carport SO MUCH easier and pleasant. Worth every penny.

Good

Pulls my two ATVs up the really steep ramp on top of my 1 ton dually box and lets them down nice and easy. I bought the hitch attachment bracket and welded a ball directly in front of where each atv sits. Move the first one then move the winch over to the other side and do the second. Extended the battery clamp wire with a cheap car jumper set so I can reach under the hood from behind the crew cab. Works awesome and I have put the ATVs up and down probably 20 times so far.

Works good.

Consider this winch instead of traditional winch labeled as an ATV winch. Advantages of this unit include the solenoid is in a plastic box attached to winch. You do not have to wire a separate circuit for solenoid. You do not have to find a switched 'hot' wire to activate the solenoid. Once installed on ATV, UTV, or what ever, all you need is to connect the main wire leads to power source and you are ready to go. Most winch operations end up with winch operated from foot near front of UTV so no need for a switch inside. For the Polaris RZR, the battery leads were too short. My winch is mounted on top of a substantial front bumper. I ran winch power leads under RZR front hood. Then I connected the negative lead to a frame bolt which holds radiator. I added a heavy gauge multi strand wire to the winch positive lead so it would reach battery. Wire ties hold everything snug. A nice simple installation. Box mounted on winch is plastic and even though not sealed at its base, any water should drain downward so little chance of water damage to connections. I added dielectric grease to control connector on top of solenoid box as added protection against moisture.

What a relief!!! We can now very easily roll our truck pop-up camper (on a 4 wheel cart) into our very tight garage space. It was VERY hard to push it in and get the cart tires to roll over the small garage bumps. Also was hard to keep the camper straight which was a problem due to the garage door opening being so narrow. The effort to push a bit uphill was too stressful for two of us. This winch works perfectly!!!! One of us runs the remote control and the other simply keeps the camper rolling in a straight line. No effort needed! The winch pulls very slowly which is just what we needed. Did not want anything to go too fast, without time to adjust. It pulls from the 50 foot cord very well with no loss of power. We mounted the winch to the garage concrete floor, then put a hook on the cart to attach the cable. Would highly recommend if you have a similar situation! The camper weighs in at about 2000 pounds and there was no issue with the weight.
